@MrMike yea, this is a nice set. And it does "click", you don't have to watch the dial. Well built, smooth. I recommend. Can instantly tell it's way better than the last one I was using. Did the Brembos with it today. 👍

Glad you like them as well! Brakes will be the next big job I use them on too.

I have been fixing airplanes since I was 18. Have been an A&P rated AMT since 91. In one of my positions I was a Quality Assurance Inspector. One of my jobs was to collect PME(calibrated tools) and send them to the Cal lab. One guy turned in a bunch of Harbor Freight stuff. I asked the cal lab if I would be wasting my time and money sending it in. He replied that sometimes it calibrates to better tolerances than the Snap -On. I know Snap - On will calibrate their own tools but company policy dictated they had to have them calibrated. Personally I have Proto torque wrenches but have used many Snap-On torque wrenches and they’re top notch.

Tony, the real test of those new wrenches would be to do the following:

1. Find someone with a 1965 Galaxie and all the parts on the shelf in his garage to:
a. Front disc conversion
B. Replace rear drum sets
b. Replace all 4 coil springs amd hydraulic shocks
c. Rebuild the entire front suspension
2. Put the wrenches in your carry on bag, grab some beer and fly to the guy from step 1's house
3. Install all the parts

Now that would tell you if those torque wrenches are any good.

They won't let me take those wrenches on a plane. Safety violation. Otherwise, I'd be there.

IMO get a quality torque wrench. Your using for critical measurement. I’ve got a snap on digital, but I use mine for work as well as wrenching on my cars.
Cheers boys.

I have a 30 year old MAC tools torque wrench that I paid 200 for new 30 years ago. I remember the guy on the truck told me back then to try to get a wrench that has a range where your primary use is close to or at the middle of the range, they are more accurate that way. So if you have a 0-250 range, then the 150 our lug nuts specify is pretty close to the middle of that range. I've gone by that advice for 30 years.
