I need to check the torque on the starter bolts and was wondering if anyone has the factory service manual and could look up the torque spec? Would be greatly appreciated.
Some guys have reported that they have found their starter bolts loose and even backed out some. Thanks!

For the starter on the GT, it's 18 lb ft.

For the Ecoboost and V6 it's 35 lb ft.

So I checked my starter bolts while doing the oil change. Of the 3 bolts that hold the starter on, only one was torqued to the 18 ft-lb spec (5.0L V8). The other two each turned about 1/2 a turn to get to 18 ft-lbs, so they weren't very tight at all. Feel better knowing the starter bolts are all tight like they should be.

^^^ Yes, I'm glad I did! I was surprised that two of the 3 were not very tight at all. Could have led to problems in the future.

I'd suggest everyone check the starter bolts if under the car.
