if I start my negotiations with "will you beat x-plan" will that ruin my chances of success on a 2016 MY. I do have x-plan, but don't want to discuss it until I have to. And if dealer denies this then I can just say :fine I will pay w/ my x-plan". does this make sense.

reason I ask is bc I am military but I think I can not combine it with x-plan. and even if I go to a dealership outside of town, im afraid salesman will pull that card of "of your military, lets squeeze all we can from him".

I think military discount is only like $500. That's what I got for mine. I wish I had X-Plan when I got my car. I don't think you will get a better deal than X-plan from the dealer but that's just my 2 pennies.

x Plan can be stacked with all incentives. I just got $2000 incentives and x plan on a 2015 GT with 0% for 72 months. Dealers won't beat x plan but they will stack incentives on it

This has been discussed in many threads. You can do better than x-plan. You just need to have the time and patience to find the right dealer. I was able to get ~$750 below x-plan price for my ordered 2016 before rebates and incentives. Others have got more/less. There are too many factors to consider to compare deals. X-plan is considered a good deal because it is usually a couple hundred dollars above invoice and you don't have to worry about dealer doc. fees.

the military and college rebates say that they cant be stacked. did you use any of those. I know that local money off can be added and I think the 750 private cash, or whatever that for mails ppl for requesting brochures can be.

What is the dealer doc fee? Most will beat xplan knowing that they can charge their full doc fee rather than being capped at $100.

I got my dealer to beat invoice significantly, let alone xplan, and they matched the $75 xplan doc fee.

It can be done, shop around and find a dealer that wants, no NEEDS volume.
