I believe Ford forbids dealers from reducing the price below the X (or A, etc) plan price other than the available Ford incentives. But if so inclined the dealer can overpay for your trade or undercharge for dealer add-ons. I wasn't trading anything in so I got them to agree to a guaranteed loaner for the duration of any warranty repairs so I wouldn't need to fight with them for one.Anyone ordered a 2018 Mustang GT with X Plan ? If yes, did you receive any additional dealer discount ?
X plan is a specific price plan. You can't use X-plan and get an additional discount. There are two benefits to X-plan: It's a set price, slightly above invoice and they limit the add-on fees.
Many dealers will agree to order a Mustang for a price under invoice. Any rebates are those available at delivery. That's usually a better deal unless your state has a high or no limit on doc fees.
Lots of information about this over in the Order | Price | Tracking section.

Can you please show me where is that in the X-plan rules?Sorry but incorrect. Dealers can set any price they want for a vehicle.
Doesn't the dealer then forfeit any plan fees from Ford, if the sale changes into a non-plan one?If they are selling below X Plan it is not an X Plan sale but just a sale at a price you negotiated.
Which is EXACTLY what I said: X plan = set price; but you might get a lower price without the X plan.Sorry but incorrect. Dealers can set any price they want for a vehicle.

Yes, my dealer has promised $500 under invoice, plus tax, title, and doc fee (capped at $250 in Ohio) less any applicable rebates. The higher doc fee somewhat offsets the savings but the net difference is still a little more than $500 below Xplan. Thanks nrc. I see you already placed an order for a 2018, did you use the X plan or your dealer gave you a better deal than X plan ?
