Trade offs. I'm in the process of learning how to drive a performance car on track while not spending over $5k a season on tires. I know there are trade offs but I'm not chasing track records or doing SCCA time attacks, just want to enjoy the Hell out of my GT and be a better track driver. If I achieve Advanced level then I'll start using faster tires. And yes the advice is good, why I like this forum.In one thread you posted about wanting to be faster. This thread is about having tires last. Everyone has given good advice. But you do realize lasting longer (given exact circumstances) tires will not be as fast.
