So you want to buy a brand new car, then strip out all the interior, replace most of the suspension, add a full roll cage, etc.?
Dumb plan. Ford racing is offering bodies in white, so you don't have to pay for all those stock parts you won't use. But I think it's more likely you don't mean real (wheel to wheel) road racing, but HPDE or TT. So back to step 1, what kind of "racing" do you want to do?
Good news is the Southeast has the best TT program in SCCA, I can't comment on the Southwest. Once you figure out a category, I can give you the classes.
