hey all,

So I just picked up my brand new 2015 black mustang

i started to notice those really fine hairline thin scratches or whatever you want to call them all over certain parts of the car.
Mine(also a black car) was delivered with a bunch of those too... plus what appears to be some touch up paint on the edge of the rear bumper. :paddle:

One method to reduce the showing of hairline scratches (because all colors get them) never wash your car in circular motions and always following the same pattern direction for each wash.

I love black cars. I have a gravel driveway. I accept that my car will never be clean. My solution is to enjoy the appearance at 15+ feet and don't over-examine the car.

Of course I could find flaws if I tried. Since finding flaws would bother me, I don't look for them.

Note: this is also the safe method when looking at your significant other.

Absolutely - they tend to get pissed when you suggest they need a paint correction.

Black is nice but you lose ALL the sexy body lines that the s550 boasts!

I do agree with you tho Uk, Silver and the Oxford white really show off the nice lines of the s550.

The s550 is so sexy I don't believe there is a bad color. It's just what is best for the owner.

IMO Ford knocked it out of the park with this body style.

I don't necessarily think this is true.. in pictures yeah the car looks darker and can't really see the lines too well but I find that in person I can see all the details just fine.. but yeah, think I should of went with Magnetic, Oxford or Race Red..

So let me get this straight

All cars, or at least all our steeds, get these scratches but because we chose the most glorious color of shadow black, it's the most visible?

Lmao I had to convince myself so hard not to get ruby red, that just went down the drain
