Long story short wife took the car to wash...at the car wash! and used that frightening brush! Now i have scratches but only noticeable under bright sunlight at a certain angle or moonlight but it's bothering the heck out of me, what can I do??????

You need to get a polish on there to remove the marring. Start with the least abrasive and test an area to make sure it removed them. Then do the whole car. Follow with a carnuba or sealant.

Thank you guys! didn't know polishing did that !
Welcome. There are many polishing products out there. They vary in cutting levels. For what you need just something that is not really abrasive.

Try Optimum poliseal. It is a good product that helps remove light scratches and seals the paint.

Jon, Visit Autogeek.com and read through the detailing how-to sections. There are many great products to choose from. Prepare to be overwhelmed by all the products and tools available. Pick a system and educate yourself. The porter cable 7424XP is a good dual action polisher. I like Menzerna and Wolfgang products as well.

Don't get too caught up in "analysis paralysis". Most all of the polishing, sealing, waxing, etc products will give you similar results. Just find something that fits your budget, Roll up your sleeves and get to it. You'll be glad you did!

Read up on Menzerna final finish 3000 or meguiars 105 / 205. really hard to recommend what you need exactly without seeing the car. If its something you can only see in the sunlight, megs 205 may be enough

It'll be very easy to get overwhelmed after visiting autogeek.net

If you want a very simple, cheap and safe way to get started (though more labor intensive) I would highly reccomond picking up only meguiars ultimate compound, some cloth applicator pads, and some good microfibers and wax.

Work the compound by hand and apply a coat of good wax and I'm sure it'll look better than when you drove it off the dealers lot. Though it'll be a little more labor intensive than using a DA it's a good, simple place to start to get your feet wet with the process and get the scratches out too.
