Good afternoon all,
I'm relatively new to the car washing field as my Oxford White Mustang is my true first car. I'm not sure if these are more noticeable because of the white paint or if I'm doing something wrong. I have these very tiny black specks on the paint that absolutely nobody would notice if you're looking from even 2 feet away but if you look up close you'll see them. I've tried clay barring which works occasionally, not always and I don't want to scratch the paint. Typically I'd have to glide the bar more than a few times over the area and that doesn't even remove all of them.
I don't want to try my first wax job until i can get a damn near perfect wash. Currently I'm using a garden hose with a foam blaster. Ill then follow that up with the 2 bucket method, both using Chemical Guys Citrus Wash. I use a microfiber mitt to rub the car down.
I've done some research on what these black dots can be and the best I can come up with is artillery fungus and tar spots. I'm not sure if they're the fungus as it seems it would be way more noticeable. From a distance, car looks perfect. I can't even take a picture of the specks as they don't show in pics.
I'm thinking a pressure washer would help. Any suggestions to help this n00b? [emoji17]
