I plan to pick up my car early in the AM and will drive straight to a tint shop...

With my current car I've been trickling mods onto it for over three years. I still dont have it tinted. Im taking a different path with this car. 90% of the mods will be done the first month so I can enjoy them the entire ownership.

I'm really glad I don't live in Communifornia...and I never will. Two different %'s is certainly not ghetto. I'm pretty sure its 25% rear and 35% front, legally, for me and I'd love for you to tell me you can even tell a difference on the Hummer..

I will be getting the 25% on the all rear windows and 35% on the doors. I also plan on doing a ~25% visor for once, nothing extreme but probably an inch or two lower than the AS-1 line.
I did something similar and I live in CA, the state that hates cars. On my current car, a Mazdaspeed 3, I have the front windows at 45%, 35% on the back passenger windows, and 25% on the rear. The difference isn't really noticeable and at some angles looks darker, but the front windows are light enough to not get the attention of cops.

I'll probably do something similar on my Mustang.

Two different tints looks fine especially with a black interior. My tint guy told me this and I didnt believe him until he did my black 2002 SVT Focus with black interior. 30% on front windows and 20% on everything else. Couldnt tell the difference against the black interior unless the sun was really low in the sky and you looked in both windows at the same time. I believe it was Llumar film.

ya, I think tinting will emphasize the "no b-pillar" look. The b-pillar won't show through as much.

Which seems like a huge negative to me... I loved the exterior metal on the B-pillar of the S197's; when I saw the new Saleen pictures with the body-color applique on the B-Pillar, I knew immediately that that was something I had to have.

Ya, I like the old hardtop look where you could roll down all 4 windows and have the whole thing open.

To each his own...

That's a matter of personal taste. Many, if not most people feel the continuous glass look is a much better, more modern look.

I will probably do 5% on the rear windshield and 20% on the front windows.

Idk what tint was on my truck but it was super dark sometimes i had trouble making left turns at night lol
but i never got pulled over in CA...probably had to do with the fact that i had no plates.. i think the cops are less likely to pull you over with out having an idea of who theyre pulling over.

I'm wondering what % of tint will be best for TY with black wheels. The common options around here are 15% and 30% for the reputable installers. I think 15% is probably too dark all around for night time visibility, but trying to do 15% on the rear glass and quarter windows and 30% on the driver and passenger windows might look a little strange now that they are connected.

Hopefully once people start adding tint it will give a better idea of how it may look.

Tint

The legal minimum tint in Georgia is 35%. I went with 20% on my driver, passenger, and back window. Cops typically won't write tint violations unless you look suspicious driving or you piss them off. I also went with a 5% on both the small quarter panel windows
