Just did 20% all around today, with tinted side markers front and rear, and wrapped the hood vents.

I'm in CA, went with 5% all the way around (including sun strip) and couldn't be happier with it. I've had the same tint on my last 3 cars over a period of about 7 years and have only been pulled over once because of it. Due to that, I take the risk because I think the 5% looks wicked. It makes the inside of the car much more comfortable and helps keep it nice and cool. Here are some shots I just took at work of my black GTPP with 5% tint all the way around:
