I did most of my rear suspension mods possible and the one that adds nvh was the diff bushings. Tried doing powerflex diff inserts the yellow ones and the front oem dif bushings got destroyed trying to tighten the bolt. Went with poly bushings and the nvh went up noticeably. Specially during decel.

You should see the roads in my neighborhood............

I have 30+ years of owning and modifying various Mustangs and am quite sensitive to changes. The potentially negative attributes of NVH associated with the Steeda Kit is borderline unnoticeable.

Disclaimer.....I do not have any financial interest in Steeda products. I just like them.
That is a lot of experience in Mustang's. In your opinion, what suspension would you do for a pure street car? I went with the Ford performance track handling pack. What is your opinion on that kit? What would you have done different?

NVH was not noticeably increased on any of the mods I did (subframe braces, cradle lockouts, locating sleeves, vertical links), until I installed the Differential bushing inserts. I only did the 2 rearward facing bushings, (Red) and it is definitely noticeable now.
Are you talking about these? Or something else?

Same thing happened to mine. I tried doing the kelltrac replacement bushings for the differential but they were on back order and I already had the craddle down at the shop. Went with replacement red poly bushing. Cars feels great but you can hear the differential whine at odd speeds and specially during deceleration. Keep on mind I have the bmr craddle lock out kit. I was thinking of replacing the bmr craddle lock out in favor of power flex street poly bushing lock out inserts. Also I ordered sound deadening for the trunk.

Pretty sure increased NVH is a down grade unless full race car...

The mods in my signature have created no NVH and I've done a lot to create a great handling car that can still be daily driven on south american roads. It's been down too many dirt roads to count and small towns with crazy speed bumps. The only problem I have is the poly bushings on the rear sway bar start to squeak after 3-6 months, but last time I went with a different grease to see if it helps.

I haven't changed the diff bushings - people say that creates NVH. But for now I haven't noticed any weird handling characteristics with the factory bushings. I have 47000km on the car

I have those, but they did not increase NVH.

These did, and I only installed the two rearward facing ones

I have the bmr cradle lock out. That with the red poly bushings for the differential made it go up quite a bit.

Depends on the magnitude. Personally I love feeling every bump and pebble thru the steering. Give me all the information I can get.

Clunks, clanks, buffeting, drone, no thanks on that.

If I drove my car 120 miles a day my opinion might differ

Any "Track" kit is going to make a street car less comfortable. What are your goals with the car?

The Steeda "Stop the Hop" kit is great and oftentimes the first, and only, suspension mod a street driven S550 really needs. After that, tires are more important than any suspension mod you could do. I am a huge fan of the Conti ECS02 for this platform.

I find it highly interesting that there seems to be zero consensus on whether or not any of these mods increase the nvh of the vehicle! Almost like we all feel / hear differently…

It could be partly due to local driving conditions. I've noticed that the NVH increase happens much worse over different road types. What those types are I have no idea, but it changes drastically when I go from one type of asphalt to another on the highway. Road materials change between states and other regions.

Then there's the difference between us who drive a lot of highways in the city vs others on Rural roads.

My goals with the car are to make a fun to drive street car. I do not want to leave it stock because I like the look of a lowered car. I was just wondering what your opinion is of the ideal lowered suspension setup.

The Steeda IRS Braces, to use as a foundation, have absolutely no NVH, along with our other parts ... https://www.steeda.com/steeda-s550-...MI96fMl4GykQMVpyrUAR1C9y4bEAQYASABEgIIs_D_BwE

" Overall, we were very impressed with Steeda Autosports’s Ultimate “Stop the Hop” Package and Adjustable Differential Bushing Insert System in eliminating wheel hop and greatly improving the drivetrain response and handling of our 2016 Mustang. We feel that the Mustang should have been like this from the factory since there is virtually no increase in NVH, but the car is substantially more responsive and precise than before. We highly recommend installing these components for any drag racer, road racer, or your average driving enthusiast for the daily driver due to the significant improvements with zero downsides. "

I realized along time ago that some people really want smooth Mercedes s class levels of smoothness at all times plus the roar of a v8. I had my moment where I went too far with the mods and had to dial it back. That's subjective for everyone as I've had people get in my car and go "how do you drive this?" And yet I love it.

And I hated steeda dual rate springs and some people swear by them 🤷🏻‍♂️

It sucks though when people have a negative experience and there's no way to know if it's a problem or subjective
