With my Bama tune on my X4, I had access to change all those parameters. Now with my Lund tune, I do not. I think it comes down to the tuner doing the tune. Canned tunes (Bama and SCT) seem to give you access to those fine tuning points, where as other custom tuners do not.

Sct canned tune foes not give you any of that option.

When a tuner creates the file, be it e mail, or direct flash like this.

He is given both the option to disable preloaded, and program with/without options.

Then He is given these options to choose from in the user area, this will prompt a menu on the handheld when the car is flashed.

This specific flash is for a manual v8 GT

Sct canned tune foes not give you any of that option.

The SCT canned tunes give you more options than what I posted pictures of. They don't build complete tune files so you have to choose the fuel octane you will be using, whether you have an exhaust or CAI plus's all the other variables i posted pictures of and build the tune inside the device for your particular needs.

I've used mine to change the shift pressure of each gear and it worked. No reason to believe the other parameters wouldn't be changeable too. Using a Bama v2 race tune.

Correct, the pictures posted were the options for tuners inside the tuning software. I am a tuner, I have the software, what i posted was to show what can be done.

Also if a tuner does not check the box to dissable preloaded tunes, or rather uncheck it because it loads with the box checked already. You will have both, custom and preloaded tunes.

ok... so why am i told that whipple flare tool is the only thing that can chance tire size and axle ratio?

these tuners need to understand that alot of us want/need that and they should be saying they can do it..... they are losing sales because people like me are being told that we cant do it unless its a whipple flare tool....

Just because its there, doesn't mean it works. I honestly have not tried to adjust it in the handheld as Ive had no car come in with or for a gear swap.

It would be just as easy as asking one of the guys with the option to change it and see if the speedo changes. If it doesn't, then it doesn't work.
