If you search long enough you can find a Vert GT with a stick.

A quick search shows 5 cars within 500 miles of me... the lowest priced (45 & 46) were unacceptable colors, the remainder which all have decent miles (< 5K) are $50K or more, and 2019 or 2020 models. I can get a new 2022 for $47K (I don't need 401A or other options), so the math just doesn't work for me. Plus, it's always nice to get a new one, full warranty, no weird odors...

At that price, I fully agree. I'd go new as well. Those prices look similar to the prices around me. When the car I bought popped up, I had to go see it. I did settle on color a bit (black) but I ended up paying $39k for a 2019 with 6k miles. Original sticker $51.5k. So not terrible considering the market.

When I started to factor in the extra $1k's I'd have to pay in excise tax over the next two year(stupid state of MA) on cost of new didn't make as much financial sense for me.

My must haves were a manual, B&O and active exhaust. Which my car has. It also has NAV (wouldn't have paid for it) and Adaptive cruise (I do like this feature but not a deal breaker). The one surprise feature my car has and I would have passed on it until sitting in it, is the Carbon Sport interior package. I love the alacantra seats that come with this package and I'm sure I'll like it even more for those sunny days. Come to think of it, my daughter or wife will probably appreciate that more. HA!

I can't argue the full warranty and odor freeness of a new one! HA

What is that color on the dark one? Don't think I've seen that paint on a Mustang before. Anyway it looks sharp on that one.

B&O is good, plus you get a sub box that you can put a different 10 in if you want. The factory sub itself is garbage but the cool thing is you've got a box that fits in the factory location. No one makes one for a vert so to add a sub to the stock system in a vert you have to put a generic box back there, have one made, or buy a factory one and add it.

Thanks all for the comments. I ordered my '22 GT convertible last week, manual transmission, shadow black, and decided against the B&O because I decided to go with a zero option car. That's right, not even the 401A package. Heck, if I could have ordered the convertible GT without it being a premium, I would have done so.

Hopefully it will arrive at roughly the same time as Winter disappears.

You will not be disappointed. There is nothing better to rid yourself of the day's problems than dropping the top and going for a drive. Even though I live in the big city of Toronto (west end), I have a loop that takes me down to the lake, around my old teenaged stomping grounds and back up to home. It takes about 45 minutes and on a nice summer evening...

I did the same this week, only had to add the Active Exhaust. After several muffler permutations on my 16, it was a no brainer. You should consider adding that at least, especially top down.

Here's mine. I wanted a convertible because my gal and I expect to do some bucket list road trips and I don't wan to miss the sights or the stares back my lovely GT. It's great!

I'm 52 years old and always hated convertibles, then at 50 years old, I bought one. I loved it. Unfortunately, the car, a BMW 135i, just wasn't practical as an only car, so I sold it. Now I want another one. Maybe when used prices come back down, I will look around for a convertible Mustang.

I would not be happy without a convertible. As of about 15 years ago, I can no longer ride motorcycles. A convertible was the only logical alternative. They have the added bonus of having a rear seat that is much more useful than the coupe. Lots more headroom and much easier access (just put the top down).
