I would not be happy without a convertible. As of about 15 years ago, I can no longer ride motorcycles.
Oh that sucks! I gave up riding as well, after... well, a lot of years, the old back, old wrists and old knees just took the pleasure out of it. Plus all the critters in cages, distracted by their phones.
Just sell that purple "thang" while you're at it and free up a spot in the garage for your new dog house. It was a virt too if I recall?
The "thang" that Matt so eloquently describes is Jeep Wrangler, which is the wife's spare toy car, that I've been trying to get rid of since the day she bought it. I hate it, I hate everything about it. The only time she goes off-road is when she runs off the driveway into the yard.

The convertible GT is on order, it's now just a waiting game.

My wife's Rogue got rear ended some time ago and the rental was a Jeep. I guess a Wrangler four door. Worst thing I've ever driven. Ride was terrible, sitting inside a drum was terrible. There was nothing redeeming about it. One night I was going somewhere (and time constrained) and the thing wouldn't leave P. I tried everything. Finally noticed a tiny light in the dash for the door ajar. There was something wrong with the switch in the door, as it was closed tight. After slamming a few times the light went out and I went on my way. This, at less than 10K mileage. It might (might) be fun to have a two door for running around in the summer topless and doorless, if I had the room for "extra" vehicles, but otherwise they are a hard pass for me.

I have severe vertigo... can't even ride a bicycle any more. Plus, I am hearing impaired and you really need all your senses on a motorcycle.

Funny: I also gave up my motorcycle for a convertible. I went to Palm Springs for a week in 2019 & rented a white GT vert. That was it, I came home & started searching for one. I don’t anticipate ever selling it…. Top down cruising is indeed therapy.

I couldn't agree more! I've got parts stashed all over my garage and shed and at my friends shop. I can't wait for spring! So close.

I had a vert in 01 I got it when I was living in Hawaii. I never really had the top down. It was alwys so damn hot. I did like driving with top down at night but I never really got to use it that much. I wouldn't get another.

it's hot and humid as hell in Miami but top-down is everywhere. You missed the point of vert - it's so the girls can jump into the back seat and wave and carry on.

Twins! I get so many looks an complements on my girl Clementine. I absolutely love cruising in her. I've wanted a Mustang convertible all my life and finally pulled the trigger last summer. So glad I did. Cant wait for spring!

Haha I love it!!! Absolutely perfect plate for it. Mine's CLMNTNE (for Clementine). I get a fair amount of smiles and comments from border guards when I cross back and forth between the US and Canada. This car screams "fun" so I love when people have creative plates. Well done!

I am at the office today (we returned this week) and it is sunny and supposed to be 2C this afternoon, suitable for a quick blast home with the top down and the wind blocker up!

Looked for a convertible stick for awhile...found one in Virginia...flu down and drove it back...got 28 mtg on the highway at 85mph. Wouldn't have anything but for a sports car. Got the love my ride screen ... no wind and minimal noise.
