Thinking about getting back into a convertible Mustang

It’s not that there’s too many things don’t like; rather, just the opposite.

i guess i was wondering about the car‘s history, and how the modifications came to be. The Monroney label says nothing about them.

Edit: after some investigation, it looks like the wheels, steering wheel, and possibly the spoiler are from the SVE line sold by LMR.com (Late Model Restoration).

Painted stripes are actually a bonus! Never have to worry about them lifting, peeling or tearing. As for the other features, if you don’t like them they can always be changed back to stock. Gives you a lot of ammunition when you negotiate the deal. I am certain the trade-in value on this GT was greatly reduced because of the aftermarket parts. Most dealers will not take a car that has been modified. Will usually end up at an auction as opposed to retail sale.

Someone personalized tha car for their taste. Great while they own it, but tends to make cars harder to sell unless returned to stock. Your response to the mods is not unusual.

If the car isn't stock, it is off my list. That's just me.

I took it for a test drive today. I didn’t really care for the 10-speed automatic. It seemed to jerk when shifting in the lower gears. I tried different modes, but it felt about the same. I much preferred the 6-speed automatic I had in my 2016.

I tested the steering wheel heat function, and as expected, it didn’t work. I wouldn’t get much use of it here in Florida, but that’s not the point.

Otherwise, it was OK. However, I decided to pass on this one.
