These things are designed as a purpose...I like the hood and the air extraction vents on the GT model. That would have been a nice addition to the Ecoboost model where the turbo could actually use the venting to keep the underhood temps down. What I think would be cool though would be to use the GT hood on the Ecoboost and leave the vent over the turbo side of the engine as it is. On the other side make the vents face forward and it could be a ram air/cold air inlet for the intake. Its location on the hood falls in just about the right spot to feed into a ducted cover for the air filter instead of the standard closed housing. Might be able to get a couple extra ponies out of the Ecobeast. That could be a nice adder to the Ecoboost Performance Package. What ya think?
