I was thinking, and had an idea for the car. Would anybody be interested in an aluminum (finish-matched) dash overlay that was machined? I would be able to make this in limited amounts, and thought it would be a cool concept for the car since the dash is one solid flat plane, and doesn't "flow" into any other plastics. Here are my crappy photoshop concepts, as soon as I get my car I will begin making and machining a test overlay and post actual pictures within the next few weeks.

Hmm, cool idea, but I think it could throw off the nice horizontal elements at play.

Then again, it does get rid of that plastic. :)

Hopefully a real life mock-up does my vision better justice, my photoshops even make me want to gag, I should have my car within a week, after my midterms Ill begin to caliper the entire entire and mockup nice machined goodies for the s550 family on here!

I would like to see a 'machined' aluminium panel to go over the cheap looking shiny black panel across the back of the car between the rear lights. I don't know how it would weather without a coating of some sort...
