I wish the initial WOT hit with the A10 in manual mode wasn't so soft in the lower gears. The traction coding/computer limits the throttle at initial wide open momentarily (a couple of tenths of a second give or take) to gather data (to make sure there's adequate traction) before going full open. It causes the "hit" in lower gears (1-4) to be soft. You can trick it by showing there is traction with a hit of the throttle before you want to really go WOT.

I want my foot to have more control over that, not the computer.

I've noticed that in "normal" it's very lazy. Presumably it's for fuel economy reasons. It takes the human error of pedal movement out of the equation until it's absolutely positive you really want to go WOT. If I put it in sport or higher, it gets pretty instantaneous in response. It may also be due to the transmission trying to preserve itself due to the drivetrain shock it would experience.

Could be a part of the logic. However, what I'm describing happens in any mode while in manual: sport, sport+, track, or drag, even with traction control off. I don't think it's a drivetrain preservation thing, as you can blip the throttle once moments before you want to go WOT to let the brains know there's plenty of traction. Then it takes off instantly, like a banchee. No blip? Noticeable lag of full throttle.

I wish other drivers would practice social distancing when they parked their car in parking lots when I'm parked. The same old complaint of people parking next to us when we park in the boonies. I wish my car would pay my bills. I wish I could drive my car 24/7. I wish my car came with special permission to be alone in a lane and access to drive as fast as I want without consequences. I wish the seat back would go down further so I could nap in it easier. I wish my car could "heal" itself like Stephen King's Christine.

You mean like this? This was in an empty parking lot and to make matters worse the driver was getting her young son out of the "passenger" side door. Since there was a child there I was polite but asked her nicely "why?"

Yep! And kids are the worst!! If I had any, and they HAD to go with me to someplace where I parked, their asses would be walking like me when we parked in the boonies with a van just so they can't door ding someone because kids don't pay attention. Also, when they threw the doors open without care, 20 lashes. Kidding of course.....maybe.

Seconded. Her response?
I can't imagine his question was answered politely. Most people don't take kindly to a stranger questioning their (possibly lack of) reasoning.

I wish mine was more chic magnet than chip magnet. I had more chips on the front of my car after the first year than the 9 YO Sonata I traded in. And they continue to come. Yes, I could’ve spent a small fortune on film but why should I have to.
