I sit in a car and I find every little compartment I can. I found this one sitting in a GT at the on base dealership. I'm glad Ford didn't remove it on the Shelby for whatever reason.

I think every car should have this sunglasses compartment.

I'm not a pro racer by any stretch... But I could do a solid 50-75 more ponies under the hood. I have several buddies with GTRs and Z06s and it's pretty much a joke. Dig, roll, whatever I just get flat out crushed. I would like a little more umpff if you know what I mean. Even Randy Pobes (so?) said it on his video of the R.
That's more of user error than car needing more. You bought the wrong car.

"You bought the wrong car" seems to be the go to answer for a lot of people.

ME: " I want to track a Tech Package GT350"
THEM: "You bought the wrong car"

ME: "I would at least like to add coolers for the trans"
THEM: "You bought the wrong car"

ME: "Limp Mode Sucks"
THEM: "You bought the wrong car"

I was just illustrating a point that seems to go on a lot.

There is no "perfect car". If that were true we wouldn't need a thread for "Things I dislike so far". There is only the car that best meets your requirements at the time you bought it.

People don't have any idea what goes into someone else's decision making process or what requirements they had to make their decision.

So when someone is quick to dismiss any issue big or small they have with this car by stating "you bought the wrong car"; does a disservice to any dissenting opinion from your own.

First I didn't bring up redline on a public road. I just think it's not as practical as some say it is.

Second, apparently my Gt350 isn't made for the track. But that's another thread.[/QUOTE

Yeah I hear you. 75% of all 2016 350's sold are base / tech cars...... hear you.

The only thing I really dislike is my car already has a bad driver's side dash and/or vent rattle. It also has one in the rear passenger side area. I don't expect cars like this to be Lexus quiet, but these are getting bad already (2500 miles). I also hate taking it in to the dealer for things like this for fear of bigger issues. I'll probably see if I can do some DIY stuff first.

It's the vent to the left of the steering wheel. I have it to, and so do a few others

Mine seems to be migrating across the whole drivers side dash area. There are times I can press on the vent area/headlight switches and it stops. And other times it doesn't and I have to press on the top of the gauge shroud to get it to stop.

A majority of the issues were regarding the GT350s track worthiness. The guy is complaining about getting left in the dust by the supercar killer GTR. The GT350s strength was never in its straight line speed. So for especially him, he bought the wrong car.

This. Keep it in the powerband and stop complaining. I don't understand why people are upset at this car's (relative) averageness in drag racing, when it was designed to be fast around a road course and be a great driver's car. Wait for the GT500 or go FI on a GT if you want a car for pulling on your buddies.

Good grief.

If you look @ the cars that are the fastest in the lighting laps they are also fast in the 1/4 mile numbers. Show me a fast track car and I'll show you a fast 1/4 car. GM advertises 1/4 mile results. C7 Z51 8 speed 3.6 and 11.9 and the Z06 3.3 and 11.5.. Hell you can take a boss 302 and it's quicker on the street. Even a mustang GT with a few mods.

If one is looking for a fast 1/4 mile or 0-whatever car, I wouldn't consider this car. I'd get something with a DCT/PDK or one of the other new automatics. Also probably a FI engine as you can tune them for big power fairly cheaply.

I'm not generally one to tell somebody they bought the wrong car type of person, but if you did buy a GT350 for straightline speed you will be disappointed compared to some other choices. That being said, it's not like the GT350 is slow by any means IMO.

Straight line power can be indicative of fast track duty but it's more of a correlation, and that's it. The Z06 and Viper ACR were close in the straights, but nowhere near close on a track. The 350 is similar to that, in that the straight line times aren't the whole story.

From a dig the 350 is disappointing in many eyes. The 0-60 and quarter mile times aren't very impressive and are effected by the sub 3500 RPM torque. However once in the power band, it's more than impressive, and that's where it stays on the track. If you want a street king, look elsewhere.

Complaining about losing a drag race in a GT350 is like complaining about poor fishing from a Cessna.... You don't eat ice cream with a scalpel and ya don't do surgery with a spoon....
