The whipple wait

I wanted to start a thread to get a better understanding on the wait time for the whipple kit and when you placed an order and received it. I placed my order on the 11/28/20 for the Gen 5 stage 2 kit and I know they say 8 weeks, but it seems its taking some much longer. I'm just trying to plan all my pre-mods ahead time including cat deletes which will happen before the install and a front bumper change that will happen when I'm doing the install. I've already added a boost gauge and put in LED shop lights in my garage and next up will be shelving to create room for the SC boxes.
So I'm patiently/ impatiently waiting.

12/10/2020 for me. I didn't even ask about delivery times when I ordered mine. I figure at least two months, probably closer to four!

11/16/20 for me. Don't care on the wait as I don't use the car this time of year anyway. All other mods to support the Whipple have arrived and are sitting in my basement. I'm assuming sometime in February it will show up.

Someone posted earlier this week that they just received their whipple kit that was ordered on 10/22.

11/23/20 for me, I was told the original ship date was 12/29/20. I trying to be patient but gosh I wanna feel the power!!

Ordered mine 11/23. Was told typical is 4-5 weeks as they are built to order but because the volume is high due to sales events and the holidays (easily lost 2 weeks) it would be more like 8-10 weeks. As of an update yesterday I was told units ordered end of nov should start shipping week of 1/25. This would equate to 10 weeks including holidays, 8 subtracting two weeks. I expect to see mine in feb.

My research shows typical is more like 8-12 weeks pending time of year. I just watched a bideo that showcased the whipple facility and someone said 25 units ship per day! That is a ton of power going out the door.

fact is, with deep discounts I will wait however long it takes. I used the savings to purchase the rxthd 1200hp clutch, flywheel, slave cyl, pilot bearing and clutch line. Installed and going through the long breakin time.

I'm good with the 8-12 week window since I wont be installing and datalogging until the pavement warms up. I would be having second thoughts though if I was waiting until May and missing the cooler spring driving weather.

Ordered 11/28 as well. Was told by Lethal 8 weeks. I expect 8-10. Not a big deal for me. To cold to drive the car anyway.

I ordered a Gen 5 stage 2 on 11/27/20. I contacted the vendor a few days later and they said 6-10 weeks. So I guess I am wrapping up week 7 now.

2 years ago, before parts shortages and the pandemic, I ordered mine on Black Friday.

I had it by early February.

100% worth the wait.

kits are around 8 weeks or so, but we have 3 holidays in there, so most have been pushing closer to the 10 week mark. give or take a few days. but pretty consisten for the most part there.
