Where did you get the rearbar? I have been waiting to order the gt350 bar but have been told it was unavailable as yet. Is there an accompanying front bar also?

Interesting, What are you working on? Wonder if someone makes a lighter weight 9" (8.8) rear end for the car. Does anyone know? all I could find is some aluminum covers which would be negligible in weight.

I know one of the racing teams tried swapping to the lighter aluminum housing and within a few runs snapped the extended mounting ear right off it. I had just purchased a 3.31 to swap my 3.73 out with during 1/2 mile shootouts for top end, and happened to weigh it cause if felt pretty damn heavy.

It should weigh as much as your stock cast iron diff with 3.73s.,

Sorry if I'm going off topic but what kind of #'s were you getting with the 3.73 for speed? have you tried the 3.31's yet? do you have a thread on it? I'd be interested in reading it.

Anyone know the weight of the stock premium heated and cooled seats with the base. Looking at doing aftermarket recaros or corbeaus.
They weight a lot, far too much, I'd say at least around 20/25 lbs each, I've swapped them for Corbeau buckets and I believe I've drop about 50lbs of comfy crap from the car, the rear seats instead are lighter then I thought, I've dropped them too anyway.

I think you're referring to the base powered seats not the premium seats

Im pretty sure I read somewhere that the recaros are around 25lbs, and the premium heater/cooled seats are 50lbs. swapping to recaros would save you 50lbs total

No, I remember the gt350 recaros being weighed around 47-49 lbs a piece and unless you've weighed the premiums at that much there's no way they are Less than the base cloth seats which way 50-52lbs each.

Aftermarket racing seats are typically in the 20lb range.

GT350 Drivers seat: 48.4 lbs
Here we go, also saw a post of the passenger cloth base seat weighing 51.4 lbs
