And when you really go down the rabbit hole, you’re stripping out all the interior panels, sound deadening, stereo, speakers, non-essential wiring, etc. on top of replacing all of the metal panels you can with CF. But you’re talking dedicated track car at that point. Can probably get the car down to 3,6xx lbs at that point?
That's all correct. There is a point that it no longer becomes feasible. The 3800 pound number is about as far as I care to take it.

He already explained it to you but you’re not listening…it’s CUMULATIVE. You’re looking at it as only one part….Tomster is talking multiple items and deletions for a cumulative weight reduction. Expand your thought process.

So they actually did have an aluminum version at one point that was either an early prototype or was used in a pinch. Let me see if I can find some pics as it is pretty cool to see!

No, cumulative means stacking weight loss savings in various places. It doesn’t necessarily mean gutting the interior. Take the CFTP vs the base GT500 for example. The CFTP has a CF wing and CF wheels (among other things). That’s cumulative weight savings over a base 500. Now stack a CF hood, CF fenders and a few other things and that’s more cumulative savings. That’s what Tom is referring to, stacking various weight reduction pieces to achieve a cumulative savings.

Multiply your figure by 10. That's 200 pounds, and that's HUGE. When I have a passenger at the track, I notice the difference, so yes, it all adds up.

Pig or not, it's a hell of a lot faster than what you are running, lol.

Just because your car is a Mustang, doesn't mean that your input is relevant to this particular conversation. A GT500 is still a pig? Lol. You don't have a clue.
