Did have a problem with the black wheels, but they look much better in the flesh, and have grown on me a lot, don't think I will change the colour now.

Indeed, good to see one in this spec, it's the same as mine too - a little preview before it arrives in a few weeks! I didn't want the chrome trim or wheels when ordering, and seeing this confirms I've made the right choice (personally I'm not really a fan of the custom pack trim on any colour I've seen, but can see why others might like it)!

OK thoughts so far –

Hood size of a Capri -
The bonnet/hood is a monster size, reminds me of my old 2.8i Capri special, and adds to the heritage theme though.


Gear Change –
1st – 2nd gear Bit notchey,
and the clutch takes a bit of getting used to.

Attention –
head turner, photos, stares
Had people taking pictures on the way home on the M4,
Lots of head turning and comments etc (all well meaning)

Mpg -
So far - Motorway =36-40 yes 40 !!
Town, B roads etc 33-36


Dealer‘s -
The dealers come in for a bit of stick on the forum (much of it deserved) but give credit to Dane at Allen Ford Swindon,
Couldn’t fault him, (thought he deserved some praise)

Black wheels -
Did have a problem with them, but they have grown on me,
My teenage daughters tell me they are “cool” (unlike their Dad) so they will be staying.

Passenger wing mirror -
Bit of an odd view, and position, nothing to major though,
Soon get used to them.

Arm rest storage box -
When sitting in the car park at Tesco’s I had locked the doors out of habit, then needed to get into the arm rest storage box,
Do you think it would open? No way, wouldn’t budge tried for
Ages, thought i broken it,
then eventually decided to read the handbook and find out the box locked when door locks were engaged
(Bit of a blonde moment)

Pony puddle lights -
Kids love them (enough said)

View from wing mirrors –
Look’s like a big butt sticking out both sides.


Lights -
Headlamps very good,
Front fog lights not so good.

Small niggles
No seat belt height adjustment, no heated front windscreen,
No handle/strap to close boot/trunk


Conclusion –
She’s all I wanted and more !

Pleased to hear Dane getting a mention. Dealers were very slow on the uptake but I think things are improving.
