I am letting Mark do mine, he has had a good look at it, its amazing that Ford take months to get these items in, when it took Boatwrights 5 days
But won't bother till the Sat Nav conversion, and if it bugs me too much, will cover it up
My horse don't like people laughing at it :D
To be fair, i'd probably cover mine the second it occured, it'd be pretty embarrassing

SO you unclip from the bottom face of the mirror housing or by sliding in between mirror and housing? I ask because mine needs done, the dealer had issues with even finding the part number! (I came up with it for them!)

I used this image to work out what I had to do...

So looking at the bottom right of the unit in the picture, you can see where you need to slide something very thin between the unit and the mirror housing (from underneath) but also needs to be strong enough to lever the black tab backwards enough to release the unit.

I suppose if the old unit is useless, it wouldn't matter if the clear take got broken in the process, but it is doable without causing any damage. One of those small plastic trim removal tools (for mobile phone repairs) would be ideal.
