So far my MT82 has been great in my 2019 GT with Roush Supercharger. My only 2 complaints where the original clutch spring being way to strong and jumping out at the friction point so I changed to a Steeda spring and that was resolved for $20 and it felt like there was more clunky looseness in the drive train taking off and on hard shifts then I liked but funny enough, I just did the Steeda stop the hop Pro-kit and Roush coil overs and that seemed to completely eliminate that issue. My thinking is the rear subframe having to much movement makes the whole driveline feel loose and after locking it down the difference is night and day. It feels so much more polished now.

Mine (with an RST) has 65k on it and it does alright. It definitely likes high RPM shifting; low speed, low revs stuff is pretty crunchy. The problem with these transmissions is their inconsistency, I think.

Is it the transmission being inconsistent or requiring us to be more precise? I chunk a shift every once in a while and it's all me screwing up my timing.

The only gripe with the trans in my '15 was notchiness when cold, but a BG fluid swap took care of it. I thought about swapping shifters, but after a few more miles went on the car the shifting smoothness got even better so I really don't have any issue with it. Backlash in the rest of the drivetrain is more annoying than anything.

My MT82 is light years better than the manual in my former '12 Wrangler DD, that trans was an utter and complete POS.

Inconsistent in the sense that we all seem to be having different experiences and opinions of it. I’ve driven other S550s and they shift/feel slightly different than mine, even. It’s like they all have their own personality.

Interesting. Now I want to go test drive some lol. I've only driven 2 and the first one was alien to me being used to the mini cooper 6 speed.

I have no problems with it once it is warmed up. The more time I spend driving and shifting, the better it gets but I think that's just me getting better at driving.

Mine wouldn't/won't shift well above about 7k.. It finally had enough, and most likely broke the 2nd gear shift fork. It goes in to the dealer in a couple hours....

mine got to where it wouldnt shift good over 6300. like you could count one one thousand two one thousand before it would go in the next gear the revs would have to drop so much. it was notchy and just the worst trans ive owned in over 20 years of driving stick. i had no problems driving 3 othe GT's with manuals, one 17 and to 18+. I did all the "fixes" and should call them bandaids. clutch line, helped some, amsoil cocktail and BG felt the same, no clutch pedal spring, steeda spring no difference, MGW... nope nothing helped there (it felt much better but the under lying issues were still there) i finally got the N2MB WOT box and it helped more then anything. In fact i was finally enjoying driving the car from wanting to get rid of it when the shift fork broke. I had them throw in a Mantic at the same time and i dont know if it was the new stuff in the trans (some things were broken that had nothing to do with the shift fork TSB) or just the clutch but no problems now. 8k shifts are great FFS no problem. It doesnt shift as good and smooth as my friends 18 SS 1LE but its good enough to make me happy again.

TLDR. worst trans i ever had in 20 years of owning manual cars and trucks

Mine was very notchy when new. Did the BG fluid swap and it really helped, but still a little notchy when cold. After 35K miles, I never noticed any more issues but the occasional 2 to 3rd was a little stiff. At 50K miles I did another fluid change with BG, and all is still great.
I did put in a Barton way back, but was still experiencing the notchy-ness but not nearly as bad.
