The "upshift" rev hang is there on my 18.. It's pretty easy to notice, just up shift abnormally slow and watch the tach.. It'll drop down to the specific RPM for the upshift and hold.
I think after looking at all the specs, I'm going to end up with GB10's and GB25's with the SI TM65 Mk2's I've already got... The midrange depth and the tweeter diameters just don't seem to be able to work with the SI offerings.
Speaking of Point Source, I'm interested in finding a good SQ solution for the center channel. Tentative plans are to use a Helix DSP.3 or Ultra which has center channel functionality.
All of the GB10 installs I've seen in the factory locations have turned out great though.. I've already got a set of SI TM65 Mk2's that I've had stashed for a bit, and with SI coming out with some amazing looking A/B amplifiers, I was trying to stay all SI, but I think it might be a loss cause...
My other choice is a Scanspeak 10f. I know people have fit them in the midrange location. My weird OCD just likes to have all the drivers be the same brand!
The drivers I'm looking at are the Stereo Integrity Carbon M3's
Carbon Fiber cone and dust cap
Synthetic copolymer surround
Cast basket
Copper voice coil
Neo cup motor
Frequency response from 125 Hz to 20,000 Hz
Mounting depth of 49.5 mm
72.5 mm Cutout
94.4 mm OD
I'm wondering what the available depth for the midrange is? The driver I'm looking at is 49.5mm deep, but the motor is relatively small in diameter, if that makes a difference.
The windshield is the hardest piece of glass to tint correctly. Any imperfection and your eye will catch it.. The heat rejection is nice, but I didn't have mine done on my Mustang, due to some of the experiences I had with my previous truck and ceramic tint on the windshield.
