Recently shopped and purchased a new 2019 GT350, so a recent account of my experience in Western PA in mid-April. I was a cash buyer but ended up financing due to drop-dead-low rates:

- Several listed on CarGurus in my area between 3 and 5k off MSRP. 2020s between MSRP and 3k off.
- Almost bought an Orange one, PBR, Electronics, Carbon Dash, Leather Seats (gorgeous) in Cincinnati. MSRP 66, List 61, bartered to 59.5. Another dealer 20 minutes away wouldn't go below their 61 list.
- Grey/black stripe in KY listed at 59k flat (6.5k off MSRP).
- Best deal listed was $8k+ off MSRP for a white w/ blue stripe, electronics, leather in Danville, PA. He had it listed at 56.4k, only got him to 56 flat. 200 test drive miles though.
- Ended up buying a velocity blue / black stripe, leather, electronics in Michigan for $57k flat (list). $7500 off MSRP, kept in a showroom and it shows, maybe 50 miles of the mgr. driving it around block to keep tires even. Shipping to Pittsburgh area was $850 in enclosed transport.
- There was a 2020 R on CarGurus under MSRP if I recall correctly, and a 2018 w/ 2k miles, black and loaded, sold on BaT the other week at 58k.

All done w/ COVID-friendly distancing, phone deal, FedEx paperwork, and enclosed transport.

Savings leaves lots of room for PPF, tint, jacking rails, hood struts, oil separator, tires, tires, and tires.
would you be willing to share which dealer? Funny as I bought end of Dec and could get no where with any Michigan dealers, so I bought out of state. I woulda done that deal....

Elder Ford of Romeo - they were great to work with. Powertrains made just down the street, too. The one I referenced at the lowest price was in Danville, PA. Don't remember the dealer.

Paint correction and C-Quartz Finest Reserve professionally installed. Clear title. I can arrange transportation. $70K

Has anyone seen better than $4k over MSRP for a ‘20 R with the HEP?

I put down a deposit on R HEP @MSRP last week.....
Do you mind if I ask where the dealer was? From what I’m hearing most locations are only getting one.

South East..... I called many dealers with allocations before I found one willing to sell at MSRP. Good luck in your search!

From my experience, $4k is a great deal for a HEP R. I called around a bunch of dealers and got anywhere from MSRP to $40k+ over. I would guess the median is at least $15k ADM. Paulo was very lucky indeed. I suspect the salesperson didn't quite know what it was they were selling.

As of today, there are only 60 HEP Rs in existence (that we know of) and many of those still haven't left the factory. This is a super exclusive car that many dealers can't even order. Of course we hear the one or two stories of the folks that got the unbelievable deals, but I'm sure there are just as many others who just paid the big markups.

Good luck!

Yeah I’ve seen that range as well. We’ll see where I land. I’ll post back with my results. Thanks for the response!

In what month will the factory finish the last 350 Shelby?
Will Ford make the voodoo engine in another vehicle in 2021?

When is 2020 production scheduled to end? Looking for GT350 allocation.
I read that the order window closes Oct 2, see here:
https://www.mustang6g.com/2021-mustang-ordering-and-production-start-dates-timeline/

Not sure if the window for a GT350 ends on that Oct. 2 date or if it can end sooner when the allocations run out. Maybe Ford can create more allocations, assuming the component suppliers for GT350-specific parts can meet the demand?

Either way, I wouldn’t dilly-dally around. If indeed the GT350 is being usurped by the Mach 1 next year, then ordering a GT350 is getting down to the wire.

Because I didn’t want a Tech Package car (I think 95% of GT350’s have it, and the projector lamps are a joke- my wife’s 2013 GT has had them replaced 3 times and they are broken yet again) , I was willing to order at MSRP, since the $2k savings from not ordering the tech package made it equivalent to the typical on-the-lot GT350 at $2k under MSRP.

My order went in last week and I’ve got a VIN and a build week of 9/28. Your mileage may vary.... Good luck on your hunt!
