France is one of those countries with a one-time registration tax, then no subsequent road tax. UK the opposite. Washington State does both :) There is a new one-off emissions tax though that looks to make this completely unviable

One nice recent change is that E85 is easy to find and it's less than half the cost of gas. I think I'll be getting a tune and running on that.
