They are just hoping to make someone feel like the stole it when they bargain their way "down" to $130k.

Yeah, Peoria Ford is a bunch of d-bags.

I was asking about their GT350s when I was there last summer buying a Fusion. I was also talking about buying a Focus RS. So that's three cars. I absolutely could not get an answer out of them about their 350s. They said they had 9 allocations but couldn't give me any detail on if/how they ordered them, what they'd sell for, etc. Brett, Internet Manager at the time I guess, assured me over a few times that he'd let me know when he found out. This was all the way into November, when a car was clearly on its way to them.

Basically, they didn't end up screwing me on a deal so I wasn't the "whale" customer they wanted for their 350 allocations. I always drive a pretty hard bargain and I guess as a result of that, they didn't want to move any units with me. I ended up ordering my GT350 through a Florida dealer and my RS through Sanderson Ford.

Fuck em!

Yeah, that sounds like Peoria Ford. Every car has a mandatory 3k Peoria Ford "Performance Pack" consisting of pin striping, tint, wheel locks and nitrogen fill. They call me every week asking if I want a Mustang and every time I tell them I just bought one from them. They also sold the first GT350 to be totaled for an extremely overpriced amount.

They can ask for a million dollars. Doesn't mean they'll get it.

So you are not a Mustang guy but you are going to buy a GT350?

Yeah I'm not a "any brand here" guy. I'm a car guy. The best kind of enthusiast.. one who can appreciate all brands and their advantages. ;)

The same guy sent me an e-mail this morning saying it was $135k lol
I could buy (2) non-R gt350 at that price, put one in bubble wrap for 20 years and drive the other.

Peoria Ford doesn't even have the R in stock, they are "expecting" some next month. While I was talking to the salesman I could hear another salesman talking to someone else on the phone justifying to them why the mark-up was so high on the R at their dealership, hilarious. Clearly the management there is scripting their internet sales guys.
