My base GT with the A10 was a little clunky when new.
At around 10k miles I decided to drive in in sport+ mode exclusively.
Gas mileage was almost exactly the same and the sport + mode is MUCH more enjoyable to me.
At about 19k now the trans seems to have adapted to my driving style and 90% of the clunky down shifts and hard up shifts seem to have smoothed themselves out.
I bought my 2020 gently used with 2900 miles on it, and it came with the Ford certified used car extended warranty.
So I'm not gonna worry about it.
I mainly just wanted to share about how it's adapted to my driving.

this is 100% not about my question but also 100% interesting info. Thanks! I am leaning toward selling my car since it’s been a turd in other areas and getting a Mach 1 so I should have all the cooling I need out the gate.
Yeah, sorry, we gradually sidetracked your thread.

I traded my 2016 A6 for my 2019 A10 PP because it had everything I wanted that wasn't available pre-2018. I thought it would be track ready, but it was more"starter" track ready. Fortunately I enjoy working on my car. It is now a GT350 in suspension and brakes, Coyote, and A10. So the ultimate combo for me.

It would have cost me a lot more to trade for a Mach 1, and I had just gone through that with the associated $ loss with the 2016. Plus I personally like the look of my GT over the M1.

I still think the M1 doesn't have enough oil cooling for hard hot track days. So I'm sure I would be modifying that too. I'm not sure if they implemented A10 cooling any differently than on the GT.

But I absolutely would still get the A10. I think it's great on track!

M1 has A10 trans cooler, oil cooler, rear diff cooler.
The coolers for the oil and trans are behind the lower grill in the corners.
And I couldn't disagree more on the 18-23 GT looking better than an M1, you blind?? LOL
