That is SUCH good news, JW and FWIW, I sure as heck wouldn't break that intercooler just to get the plate. If he can snatch it unharmed, wunderbahr, but if not, just have one made and introduce him to a red 3M lady. :-)

SO happy for ya, man and the two of you will be home before you know it. You may not even recognize the place! <smile> Just be careful with the "spirited driving" as Goose would say. <wink>

Best news of the day, I’m happy to hear this. I’m sure you feel almost as giddy as you did the first time you picked her up haha.

Cheers buddy.

I searched the internet for that part number and found pictures of that transmission. But no hits for an actual part; not even on a Ford Parts website.... Guess you can’t buy one yet.
Are you looking for the part # of the full transmission? If so, it should be KR3Z-7003-B.

Hope Tech finishes it today.

Good Luck

Just a quick update, should hopefully be picking up the car best case tonight realistically tomorrow. I seen the supercharger yesterday with concerns about the nameplate of the engine builder. Tech said he could switch the caps but would have to order gaskets because the intercooler is stuffed up underneath there. He’s just going to try and remove it for me. I DONT want to order more part!! Lol but we’re close.
Chances are that he would be able to re-use the gasket (O-ring) since the new supercharger has never been run. The manual does call out for the gasket (O-ring) to be replaced. I would let the mechanic remove the lid and let him make the decision to reuse. Have their parts department check and see if the gasket is available and how long it would take to get it.
Once your old supercharger gets sent back, your plate is also gone.

@jwhite
Jaime,
If they can get the gasket quickly, now would be the time to replace the lid. If you decided to do it at a later date, it will be a lot more difficult and costly. It all depends on how much that plate is worth to you.

If you decide to swap, make sure they use the gasket (O-ring) from the new SC lid and use the new CAC coolant manifold and tubes.
Good luck.

It’s on the lower, rear, left side of the block. Just above the oil pan:

Haven’t looked for a VIN on the transmission or diff. I’ll take a look.
I just looked at the trans and diff closely. Both have several QR code stickers. But neither have a VIN etching I can find.
The trans has several heat shields, so it’s hard to see the whole case. But I would guess the QR codes link the trans and diff to the car vice an etching like on the block.
I tried to find a VIN on DCT as well.. cant see it. I know there was a Evolution perf/Lund video dedicated to showing a vin# on the dct.. how did they find it on 2 cars, but we cant find it on ours?

There are several heat shields on the DCT that could be covering a VIN etching. Or its further up on the bell housing where its not easily seen.

That heat shield protects the trans from a exhaust cat this is close by. Hard to see anything on the trans there. Would have to remove that heat shield to see anything.

I thought about having that liid switched, just couldn’t bring my self to take the chance on the gasket. Luckily I’m not a super sentimental person, plus tech is going to try and save old one. I did get a call from dealership, car will be ready by noon on Thursday!
