Edit: You know, I was thinking, if you don't end up getting the plate, you might ask FP if anyone could make a call to the plant and ask for the same person who built the original motor, (IF you remember who it was,) might be able to stamp a plate and mail it to you?

But like you, I'm not particularly sentimental about vehicles so it might just be NBD.

I might do a little digging, see if ford will send me a blank one, I’ll let my grand kids sign/ scribble it?lol the oldest is 4 so I’d say more scribble

I think that's a great idea, JW. The kids would get a kick out of that and I bet you could find a jewelry shop that would engrave the plate with their scribbles. :-)

This is definitely possible. I took my brass eagle helmet shield holder to my local jewelry place and had them engrave my 4 kids names into the ribbons on both sides of the eagle that is holding the ribbons. My kids are with me for every call I go on, every every fire I enter, every single time I wear my helmet.

You guys are too funny. I started watching that crazy series, then saw a field of dead big cats and lost my interest. Everyone kept saying, you gotta watch the rest. OK, so I've started but only about halfway I think. But it's pretty obvious that Baskin is the antagonist. I bet she whacked her hubby, too.

Most happy for you, amigo and I'm equally happy that Ford did you a solid. There ARE good companies and I still believe Ford is one of them. And I say that knowing full well they can be as ferocious in contract negotiations with labor as anyone else. That struggle will never change unfortunately but I must admit, I'm glad to be out of that mess.
