So I’m in my car right now and looking at the cup holders. With the rubber insert installed, the rear is deeper than the front by about 5-6 mm. The thickness of the insert from the thickest part where the ribs are is roughly 2mm. Looks like the front is about 6-7mm to the top of the light ring and the rear is roughly 13-14mm to the top of the ring. This is all “measuring by eye” but I’m pretty good at that. Perhaps someone with the appropriate tools can confirm the measurements. I have added some pics that try to show the depth at an angle for a better idea of what is what.

I have a manufacturer who makes cup holder inserts for the Explorer ST that I’ve asked about making the same for the GT. The cool thing about them is they’re printed with a filament that makes them translucent. So the initials are vibrant with the existing LED lighting. No solar charging or recharging, etc. They look great! Initially there was interest from him. But lately it’s seemed to die off. Cost point is around $15 each. But, they’re a one time buy. Is anyone interested? Maybe I can get him back interested if I can show there’s interest. Pictures below.

if this is the wrong place for this please let me know.

oooooohhhh boy i totally want these. Running pony in one if not both. i have an ecoboost and have been trying to replicate the 68 fender badging, so that might be kinda cool

i do have access to calipers but i'd likely need an assist (as in, exacting instructions) as to how/what you want measured.

I currently have the American Car Craft solid coyote inserts that are nice but do suffer from scratching. These shine through inserts look great and I would buy some if postage to Australia was not over the top like some things are these days. I expect it could be affordable if the wrapping was minimized.
I think "GT" on the front insert and "5.0" on the rear might be nice, or the coyotes again.

I would be in for a set. Options are always a great idea, I'm sure alot of us like to switch things up from time to time....... = more sales!

Thanks. I think we’re headed in the right direction at the moment, but is it alright if @Gearz reaches out to you if he needs some specific measurements? He’s using the gt350 cup holders that he has access too for modeling.

I’m not 100% sure I understand what you’re asking for. The first picture I posted was inside the cup holders. Here is what they look like outside the cup holder. One is face up, one is face down. You also have options to pick the outline color, no outline, etc.

I hope this helps.

Any chance you could weigh one of those on a small scale? @Gearz has provided me with a few designs (currently printing), but figuring out plastic density would be helpful. I’d test it on my car, but my car doesn’t have the LED’s. . . Maybe I’ll need a test mule to test a few different densities.

I’m traveling but will be back at home tomorrow afternoon. I’ll weigh it and send it on. I’m also willing to be a Guinea pig. My sister already says I’m a pig!!

I have a few more designs I’ll be printing today, including GT, a pony, and 5.0. I’ll post pics.
Thanks to @Gearz as always for the design work!

I’ve got to say the detail on yours looks to be much sharper. As these are flat.

That’s perfect. Thank you!

Your ST was printed upside down and therefor on a flat plane…. Which isn’t a bad idea to be honest. I printed mine right side up, which makes for a cool embossing effect. I might experiment with both and see which I like better.

A few more (printed right side up.) I'm printing another 5.0 upside down now to see how that changes the texture. It should help with the visibility of the individual filament lines on the face.
