Who changes their oil right after break in?

If you baby your car during break-in, you'll get a baby. Break it in as you intend to drive it. That's how I've broken in every new Mustang I've ever owned and mine tend to be a little quicker than average and I've never had engine problems.
I'll be mounting the GoPro for the ride home. I could not imagine not bouncing it off the rev limiter at least a few times on the way home. It will be broken in the second it drives off the lot. This!! I broke in my 01/03 Cobra the same way.

How long are you guys or did you guys wait to "get on it"??? I am 2 days in and at 170 mi. Just curious I was about to yesterday but there was a cop hiding out. I am pretty sure 100 mi is sufficient but just curious what everyone else is doing.
You da man!!! Cannot wait to see the video!!I'll be mounting the GoPro for the ride home. I could not imagine not bouncing it off the rev limiter at least a few times on the way home. It will be broken in the second it drives off the lot.![]()
This.I just picked mine up yesterday morning and im almost 600 miles in. I've been trying to use all the gears and vary my rpms and speed, I have gone WOT several times but ive been keeping it below 6k rpm. I dont believe in going all out right away but breaking it in doesnt mean to baby the crap out of the car and keep rpms super low when the car is new. Have some fun with your car but be safe doing it.
You never know. Every Lancer Evo that topped 5,000 rpm during the first 1,000 miles developed insolvable oil leak problems by 50K miles; those that didn't, didn't. I say take it easy, and constantly vary your revs between idle and 2,000 rpm for the first thousand miles.Drive it like you stole it so the engine breaks in good.
Always run it hard in the beginning and it'll be around for the long run.
Turbo engines =/= NA engines in this regard. You never know.
