Is anyone else getting terrible MPG on their whipple setup? I supercharged my car knowing that the MPG would definetly be worse but I didn't think it would be this severe. Im getting 10-11 MPG with very normal driving. I floor it MAYBE three times on a full tank and the rest is normal driving. My car is also an automatic with the 3.15 gears, not even the 3.55 which ive hear get even worse MPG. Im on the whipple tune that came with the stage 2 kit. Is this normal for an automatic car with 80% normal driving and 20% of ""spirited" driving with paddle shifters and minor pulls?

P.S. My car while it was bone stock was getting around 18.5 MPG.

I would say something is wrong if you aren't getting 10-11 mpg lol. I think my average over the 18,000 miles I've had the blower on is 10.2. What's your driving like when you aren't on the throttle? Is it stop and go or highway because that's going to play a big factor. But even on the highway, I have a pretty heavy foot.

I have about 11,000 miles on my gen 2 stage 2 whipple and average about 10 or 11 mpg as well in the city. In the cold when I let my car idle for a bit more, my city mpg will be below 10 driving conservatively, ie shifting under 2k rpm.

On the highway I still get 20-22 mpg depending on whether I'm going 65 or 75mph.

Since adding the 3.31 gears I've noticed a little mpg increase on the highway but not too much of a difference in the city.

I had my second trip meter reset when I put the new clutch in and now after 1,300 miles it says my average is 10.9 mpg, but that is 90% city miles.

I usually only go WOT over the local bridge or when I'm greeted with an empty on ramp, maybe 2-3 times per week.

93 octane....just imagine what it would be with e85

3.55 gears and flogging on it regularly I still get 15-16 mpg all around average. Down from 18-19. Must be a Whipple problem! LOL

You can also double check your spark plugs to make sure they are gapped correctly. When the dealership did the initial install they failed to gap the plugs. Car had even worse mileage, but still ran surprisingly well all else given.

On a 6hr road trip last summer I got 26mpg on Whipples tune, driving like a grandma. Bone stock on the same trip I got 28mpg. I daily drive it in good weather 450-500mi a week and have a standing average of 19.2mpg, but that is 95% highway. And I beat the balls off it every chance I get.

Driving around town with mine I get 12-13mpg, 10-11mpg if I'm being a bit spirited. I did do my first long distance trip since I put the Whipple on from Houston to Dallas and back. I used cruise control at 85mph, and got 24.3 round trip, so not going to complain at all about that.

Stock I was getting 25 mpg on pure gas. Whipple Stage 2 I’m getting 21 on e10. This is with 3.55 gears and a10. I think the whipple tune leaves some mpg on the table.

I got around 11-14 on my ‘15 PP GT Whipple S2. Mpg will suck when boosted. How last poster gets 21 is beyond me. Must be driving through the streets in neutral.

I see boost and low mpg. And think that’s a good thing.

People lie. Whipple said it themselves. Stage 1 will get decent gas mileage but when you add the 73lb injectors or bigger it just sucks down gas. I'm ok with that, fuck MPG's. How anyone could spent $7k+ on supercharger kit for 800hp and then complain about MPG's blows my mind. Should have used that 7k to buy a shit econobox.
