OBase kit is shipping with standard pulley, fans and tb. I want to use whipples tune. What setup do you think would be safer and more reliable? 1. Run kit with stock exhaust? 2. Add headers to 1? Lastly run headers with header tune if it's out in three weeks? I prefer not to use the whipple msd boost a pump.

I could do that. I just had a bap fault once. I'm just looking for the most reliable simple setup as possible. I have kooks headers for sale because Maryland speed wouldn't take back same day I ordered so I may have to use them.

Use the kooks headers they are the best, I just installed mine this weekend.
Most reliable is with the bap and everything else you mentioned, its exactly what I and other have.

I guess I thought I could install kit and use there tune and have fun? Is that ok to do that? I guess adding boost with lower pulley and adding headers complicates the kit? If I need boost a pumps and custom tunes etc then I would rather go turbo. Whipple kit and full exhaust cost more than turbo kit

You can certainly run all those parts without an issue.

As for the BAP, its plug and play so if it ever failed, you would just disconnect it and plug the stock driver back, 2 minutes tops. The one nice feature of the MSD is that its progressively on/off so its not being used as much. We ramp it around 5psi of boost to peak volts by 10psi (isn't needed below that) and so it has a nice transition.

The JMS BAP is also very nice and we use it on all the GT500's.
