I recently moved into a new apartment complex where the garage parking is individual so I now have a single garage kind of like a town home with people who live above it.

I still have resonators but I’m X-pipe and roush axel back. It’s friggin LOUD 😂

I wake up at 4-5 am for work. What is the best/cheapest way to muffle the sound for start ups at the crack of dawn?

If you have active exhaust it has a quiet mode.if you don't there are several posts that deal with putting it on your car aftermarket

I have stock active exhaust and "quiet start" time set. It's still friggin' LOUD at zero dark 30, even without aftermarket noisemakers. I'm going to bet pushing is your only option to keep them from complaining.

Found a couple of things. No idea if they would work for you or just how much they would help.

A couple of thoughts. I'd check into local noise laws. I'd also be sure I knew the apartment complex rules on noise. There's no surer way to massively piss off neighbors than being obnoxiously loud. Especially at 5am. It sucks being evicted 3 weeks after moving in - don't ask...

I have longtube headers with a corsa extreme catback. Loud is an understatement. And when I leave my house at 630am on Sundays for car meets I put rolled up Towels in the exhaust tips (I cut an old towel into small strips that fit perfectly into my exhaust tips when rolled up) and I put a piece of painters tape across the tip so the towel can't shoot out. My car is parked right outside my 15 month old daughters bedroom window and I have never woken her up using this method. The car is almost silent.

Quiet mode and hope for the best. Only other 2 options are to move or trade for a Prius. I think if they complain and you attempt to smooth it over, you'll loose that battle.
