The coyote cookbook is Ok but will leave you with more questions. It does show some about tuning boost. It's a good read but not worth the cost IMO. All the info in it is on HP tuners forum. You will just have to resign yourself to reading many threads then have no resolution.

Read Mark Murphie (sp) and engineermikes threads. There are a few others that also know their shit. I read and logged for almost a year before I attempted tuning.

The cookbook does come up used once in awhile. It is another tool and if you can get it for 50 to 75 is worth the read.

I bet pcmtec reads Lund fine. I’m not so sure it will display it though.
Sometimes if you read it, save it and re-flash the saved tune, it is visible.

Okay so I read the Lund tune. It said unscrambling the tricore osid was not available with my edition. It says the file is tuner locked by a third party (non pcmtec user). And it says I can read and save the file but can’t edit or write it.

Here are some screenshots of the messages that pop up when i try to open it. If I purchase more credits will it let me open it or do I need the more expensive edition? Does anyone with the more expensive edition want to try it for me?

First log and drive. Fuel trims looked close overall and looked pretty good on the half throttle I gave it. Did have some weird dips especially on decel, going deep into the -20% for fuel trims. Any thoughts on how I might clean that up? Still need to read into how to correct the maf data.

Tuning experts have a look and let me know if there is some other things I should be logging for while I get the maf dialed in.

Only changes are the imrc (updated to 2018+ values), injector data (most copied from roush file some still stock), and maf data (copied from pmas website). Everything else is the stock file

Here is the current tune for anyone interested. Only difference between R2 and R1 is that R2 has updated fan settings because I have a 170* thermostat.

Edit: I forgot to mention I adjusted the idle too as the car didn't sound happy idling at 650 so I tried raising it to 750 which it likes better. Might be because of the cams, or I'm just use to hearing it idle a bit higher. Does clunk into 1st gear now which means I might need to adjust some of the idle settings for it going into first. Will play with more tomorrow.

There's a few different ways to tune MAF. If you copied over information for your intake and trims are no more than + or - 5% then I wouldn't worry about tuning MAF.
Go on HPT and get familiar with the mapped points and how they work along with cam angles and distance tables. Once you understand all that it will make it easier to tune the coyote.
Tried reading about mapped points and they are very confusing to say the least.

Let me know what you guys think I should focus on. I think I will have to tune several mapped points as the car has cams and I think I will want to adjust them to get ideal cam timing for different driving situations.

I think the maf data still needs a little work (or maybe I should look at the injector data again). Then I should start learning about the mapped points.

Looks like a good start to me.
Someone needs to give you a proper channels list and get you off these default SAE channels.

Ya it’s just the default list that I added cam timing to.

Just read that the sae ones pull slow. I’ll make a proper list when I have more time. Might try to setup the pcm tech logging too
