So i tried using 10 to change the startup screen. It did not work. I mean, the check digit is a single digit (Startup: 7D0-02-01: xxxx xDxx xxxx)so when i attempt to input 10, it only grabbed 1. Same results on shutdown screen(Shutdown: 7D0-03-01: xxxx x4xx xxxx). Am I to erase the entire block of 4 digits (xxxx) and replace it with 2 digits(xx) then make those 10?

7D0-03-01 ==> The one you have here is for the theme (Ford GT), not the splash.

Thank you for that clarification! So the startup and shutdown splash are set in this line code 7D0-02-01. Does the theme (7D0-03-01) uses the same 10 or is it different?

The theme would use 0, 1 or 4. 0/1 are the two slightly different default Ford themes, 4 is the GT theme. There are more unique splash screens than the generic UI themes.

I'll try and take a peek tonight - I have the new APIM installed, but haven't hooked up the computer since the original install.

If it still doesn't work, might need to toggle one more config value. It wasn't clear if the splash setting would override the brand value.

I had a few minutes today to hook up my software and ended up with the same result - the normal Ford splash on shutdown. I may have some more time to mess with it on Sunday.

You're welcome. Just had to find a spare minute to hunt down the right config values in the code.
