I just finished my swap, without any programming my TTS works fine and I am running SAT so I did pin terminals 6 and 19 on the small ACM connector and connected them to terminals 51 and 52 on the APIM. The only issue I have is when I touch the Siri button she sounds distorted.
I am upgrading a base to sync3 with sat/hd. My 24-pin ACM connector has terminals in #6 and 19. Do I remove those and jump the ACM 6 and 19 to the APIM 51 and 52? or connect the circuit from ACM to APIM?
Thanks

Anyone have a line on TE-2035334-1 connectors (I'm an idiot, I should have written terminals)? I have been trying to find some for a while now. Thanks for any help.

I used 1924955-3 for my swap. They're not the exact same, but they are working so far. You can compare the drawings on the te website. I bought mine from mouser.com

edit: I remember them not being the easiest to insert into the connector

Hey y'all,

My guess is no one here has tried this particular configuration, but I have a question.

I attempted to upgrade my 2016 base system with a 4.2" screen to a sync 3 with a 4.2" screen following the OP instructions.

There must be some differences in the pin-out from the original intent to what I have done. I have finished re-installing everything and reprogrammed using ForScan, but some of the control panel buttons do not work (menu for one) and the volume controls do not work on the panel or the steering wheel.

The track forward/back buttons and the center media (M) button on the steering wheel do work.

If the pin-out is different, anyone have that?
I have the as-built for the old and new APIMs, but I am sure there is something I am doing wrong.

Any advice is appreciated. I have no problem donating to your favorite charity. :)

Thanks

Wait... what?? Why did you go to all that trouble to install a 4.2” screen?
Thanks for your reply.

My original ACM was malfunctioning badly even after I performed the software update from Ford, so I figured if I was going to have to swap it out, I may as well upgrade to HD/SAT/etc. Sync3 system.

I just didn't want the bigger screen; personal preference. No other reason. I've driven rentals with the big screen and it is a bit much at night for me.

Which APIM did you install?

Just give me a call. There are a few things in regards to this that I can’t post.
