@HextallS550 I dont see it on the site, how much is the 19 base to sync 3? I can do the Forscan stuff( I used your original 1st harness on my 16), I mean it could be a moot point as the two I am currently looking at are 301a/400a but if I can save some $$$ and get a base that allows me to spend more on mods lol.

Updated the Sync 3 to newest v3 software and added EU languages. But I now have the bug everyone has; the speed isn’t correct when using Apple CarPlay.. it says that I am driving faster than I really am. Anyone found an update file that fixes the issue?

If you're converting a 19 I highly suggest purchasing a 2019 APIM so that as Sync 3.2/3.3 and this summer, 3.4 is rolled out you keep the ability to upgrade your 2019 car as if it was a Premium car.

Hello all, I'm getting ready to do the upgrade to the 8 inch sync 3 this weekend. I have read that that in
the 2019 mustang you do not need to replace the GPSM antenna from the factory. The APIM i will be using
is a nav enabled unit. Am I wrong?

Help. I have a 2017 base EcoBoost Mustang and I ordered the sync 3 kit from Hellhorse. I have no power to the stereo. The screen is black. I did all of the forscan updates and fuse is good. Did I miss something?

You have the car in power on acc mode? Did anything come one before you did any forscan stuff?

Spoke with Sam at Hellhorse. They are sending me a new harnesses and APIM.

Great communication from them. Hopefully this works.

I tried in accessory mode and while started. Hot the power button and tried everything. All connections tight.

Do you have a picture of the harness?

I noticed Hellhorse is claiming that they are selling "New Ford APIM/Screens and USB hubs" in their kit.. I call bullshit, at that price, and knowing who's behind their stuff, it's more Chinese seconds that were backdoored out. It doesn't surprise me you would have an issue with one of those APIMs. New APIMs, even at my pricing, are $400 by themselves which is why we sell refurbs direct from OE salvage yards who specialize in low mileage dismantling. The screen, which comes from Ford's bezel supplier is $525, no way are you putting together a kit and selling it for $1,375 if the screen and APIM are $925 by themselves. I get that people want the lowest price, but don't forget what that low price gets you.

I paid around 1800 IIRC. The hub is Chinese and the usb to the diagnostics port is a cheap 15.00 part with a switch.
I have no way of knowing where the screen and module came from. The usb cables were new from Ford though. I do remember seeing a lable on tbe back of the module saying made in 2017 Oct. I think.it was China. My Factory disk player says China too though.

I don't have a picture of tbe harness though. It had a locking pigtail that went to tbe factor connector that came from tbat black box that y'd to the new module that was on tbe back of the display that locked as well. It had another locking connector 2 wire that went to what the factory display plugged into. The last connector went into the usb hub.
Everything went together nicely. No complaints except for the lack of operation. I am pretty annoyed because i hate pullong things back apart over and over. These factory clips and trim can only take so much before breaking.

I believe the harness was pinned wrong. Who knows. I feel like i should have just traded this car in for a 5.0. Good deals in my area.

I get you don't want to rag on them if they took care of you. I'm primarily interested in their claims that they are selling new Ford parts. The price on the website is listed at $1375 with out NAV or Sat/HD. We sell our kit for $1699.99 to you guys and that includes NO Chinese or "second hand" parts that have been coming in like crazy.

APIMs are assembled in Mexico with a mix of Japanese, Chinese, US parts. I'd be interested in seeing exactly what they are selling. Within the next few weeks we will have the website updated, purchasing parts will be live (no more phone calls) and we will offer financing for kits to make it easy on people. But I will never sell people knock off parts or "refurbed" bezels.

I have a 2019 mustang Ecoboost base model with 4in screen, Sync 3 version 3.3.18201. Will this upgrade work for me? And will it void the warranty if I use Forscan?
