Wait, what data did you try to change?
BCM. I tried to also flash the premium mustang's data. I backed up all my stuff, and I flashed back to my as-built. Nothing happens.

The biggest problem is, with everything else as-built and the APIM with the as built of focus RS, the center console and the steering wheel ctrl won't work. The amazing thing is, I tried removing the center console and connected my old base console to see if I still have air con. No I don't anymore.

I triple checked my wirings, and they all seemed to work well. I really don't know man.

I'm confused about what all you changed
The APIM should have all of the data from a Premium Mustang the same year as yours written to it. I have never been able to use APIMs from different vehicles in a Mustang without changing all of the data.
The only BCM data that should be changed is for the toggle switch and that's only one digit

I dunno. I thought I could just copy stuff from a premium mustang. My bad. I reset all changes to factory as built.

How do you tune the APIM? I thought I can only change stuff like sat radio, startup logo, things like that.

I tried to flash the ACM amp, and now my steering wheel control works again which is comforting. However, the fcim still hasn't shown up in the system. For ms can, I only have BCMB and RTM. I have a bunch of stuff for the three hs can channels. Is something wrong with the ms can?

Wait...

Don't be mad at me, but...

The two pairs of ms can wires from gpsm... They are different right? If so... I only attached one of the two green wires into the APIM. I'll try to fix that later tonight and see if I got any luck. :headbonk::brokenheart::eyebulge:

No worries man. I connected the other ms can wire into the apim connector. Now everything is working as it should.

I have a suggestion actually. Maybe you could note that the can wires in pairs are of different definition. That might be obvious, but it might help out some crazy idiots like me who likes to assume things.

Anyway, nice write-up that helps my swap man. Without your work, a lot of good things wouldn't happen for sure.

The wires are redundant, if you tag one they should both work unless you cut them???
No they are not. I left one ms can wire out of the loop. FCIM not detected. I reconnected that wire in, boom there it goes. Without that wire only two of my mscan modules showed up. I guess the two wires comes from two different branches that all goes into the can.

The two wires are connected together at the GPSM. Cavity 2 has two Grey wires and cavity 3 has two violet wires. You only need to connect to one of each.

Yep they're connected. I was thinking the same. However from my miserable experiment they seemed to come from two branches. Yep they all go into one pin at the gpsm, but I'm afraid leaving one outside will leave some modules out of the loop. That kinda makes sense, because why two wires when you can have just one?

Oh you mean connect to one of them right? I actually destroyed the gpsm connector, got out the two Gy and two vt wires, made the socket and plugged them to the connector. I left one grey wire wrapped in scotch tape (the one from fcim) cuz I'm kinda lazy. I think it's useful to remind people that the can wires must be left connected and they come from different modules.

That diagram you posted should appear in the main post.

Yes, CAN is redundant or daisy chained. That’s why I said just solder to one of them, don’t attempt to cut off the connector. Someone else did that too so I’ll add it

I got rid of all the unused connectors (wrap the rest of the wires on them with electrical tape). That's an easy way to get exposed to mistakes.

This was what I did. Took a while to find out. Who'd guess that the A/C system goes through a gps module?:frusty: Thanks for the update.

It'd probably help if you put the as-built changes in the OP.

You have info there on adapters and FORScan, but I don't see anything about what you have to change.

First, big thanks to Hextall for your help in this!

Second, just letting you guys know that with a little searching around on Car-part.com, I was able to procure two Sync3 screens with nav APIMs from wrecked cars for dirt cheap! Searched around for a long time on eBay and everything was going for $500+ for non-nav systems. I just wanted to have nav for those times when cruising in the mountains outside cell range, but didn't want to pay and arm and a leg to get it. Just search around for the different Ford vehicles...Focus, Fusion, CMAX, Escape, etc. I got one out of a '16 Escape and another out of a '16 Focus ST. The small junkyard in Utah sold me the Focus unit for $50 plus $25 shipping, and the Escape unit I got for $100 for the screen, plus $50 for the APIM and $35 shipping, so $185 total. I'm also doing MFT to Sync 3 swap in my friend's 2012 Focus, which is why I bought two units. With the upgraded hub for $60, and adapter parts from Mouser for less than $10 shipped, and GPS antennas for $15 each, I'll have about $420 into all the parts for TWO cars! :-D
