He just speaks from experience, you'll have a proof if you had 2016 with Android Auto / Apple Carplay. Until that happens (which I personally think will have to just because competition will have it), it's a promise like many other in the past that weren't kept.
No doubt it's a nice system and superior to MFT but 99% of people that quote Sync3 as a reason to wait '16 also list Android/Apple integration as main feature that made them do that. Feature that doesn't exist and there is no firm timeline on when it is going to be added. Don't know how it can be any clearer...
Like Ford stating that their Base Audio Systems are Sirius Satellite Capable? Yeah, by replacing the entire Radio Head Unit, not simply adding an OEM Module to the existing in Dash Unit?:ford:

This system is light years ahead of MFT. After watching the video I'm sold on it already. The way stuff slides smoothly on and off the screen like a smart phone is awesome. Smartphone gestures like swipe and pinch are features you don't realize are a big deal until you don't have them and am glad to see them in Sync 3.

Although, the most important and useful feature I see is the voice command giving you the option to tap for Sync, or briefly hold for Siri. What Sync voice commands cannot handle, I can easily switch over to Siri without even picking up my phone. Genius.

I don't respond to trolls that have opinions not based on facts. Somebody that says they expect Sync3 to have no hardware upgrades only software upgrades doesn't know $hit from shinola. A company would not make hardware changes over a 4+ year period an a major selling feature of a vehicle.

I bought a 2015 knowing that the 2016 Sync3 will be superior and will be accommodating new features in the future. MFT is being left in the dust and no new features will be integrated. Sure there was promise of new things to come that did not materialize. However that doesn't automatically mean that Sync3 will be identical. If Sync3 is to last 3-5 years in the future, the upgradabilty is crucial to ensuring its success.

Unfortunately, Smart Phones and other Technological Devises have created a lot of stupid boorish People. How said that was the price to pay to evolve from a Basic "Flip-Phone"!

Yes, but the ugly truth. It`s a beautiful thing when you need to have the Funeral Directer instruct (Adults) at a Chapel Service or Graveside Service to "kindly" shut off or (silence) their Phones temporarily. You`d think "common sense" which is no longer (common) would prevail? Fun going to a Theatre to watch a New Movie Release and be distracted by having some idiot chatting away or lightening up the row with the glow of their "Smart Phone" while they happily Text away?

You're right, I hate it when someone is at a red light next to me tapping away at the screen in their car...

The first time someone makes contact with (my) Vehicle by crossing into my lane or rear-ending me while "tapping" on his MFT or SYNC3 Screen or Texting or Tweeting on their "Smart Phone", the incident will accelerate very quickly from a Car Crash into a serious Verbal & Physical altercation. True, Accidents (happen) but when they are caused by sheer stupidity, thats another matter. Why should Law Enforcement concern themselves with Seat Belt, Car Seat, or Driving under the Influence issues when Texting, Tweeting, and "Shooting a Selfie" is far more dangerous? Finally an excellent (off use) of a Selfie Stick!

That's something I never quite understood about Sync versus Sync with MyFord Touch. Sync has had some decent app integration, while the MFT apps were nonexistent. I wonder what the deal was there, but it's useless to speculate now. With the API open for Sync3, this will make the app integration much better in the hands of third parties.

"App creators can download a developer kit from Ford with the frameworks for various on-screen app designs and even simulations for various car scenarios so that developers can test out apps that take advantage of onboard data Ford says includes “average fuel economy, battery voltage, external temperature, fuel level, safety-belt status, acceleration, driver braking, GPS, speed, tire pressure, vehicle identification number, odometer, and engine rpm.”

Somebody could come up with a nice app that show a bunch of data all on one screen. :)

I personally have enough "Sinks" in my Home already so I`m not very interested in adding anymore including those that are spelled SYNC!
