I never understand the people that do this, why buy a new car and settle with it right off the bat? NEVER SETTLE ON A CAR or you will be stuck in this stupid situation because you'll never be happy. Both cars serve different purposes and appeal to different demographics.
So you're telling me you've NEVER had buyer's remorse? For anything? I don't believe that. Even for a purchase as large as a car, people can experience regret and desire a change--sometimes long-term. Maybe they made a mistake, maybe they just didn't know any better, or maybe they fell out of love with the car. If a person has the means to alleviate that emotion buy getting into a different vehicle, who are you to care?

You should be happy for the guy instead of judging him.

Would love to drop a 5.0 on my car and keep the rest the same so it would be a sleep
There is very little visual difference between an EB amd GT (as long as you're comparing the same trim level i.e. Premium vs. Premium). You could literally accomplish the same thing by debadging a GT and changing out the grills. It would be a hell of a lot less work.

It's a great daily driver for those that want a mix of eco and fun. I'm still going to be dailying my GT, only a 4 mile commute though.

I should have followed my gut and got the GT the first time.
Join the club. I did the same thing last summer. The EB was nice but i couldn't stand the sound of the exhaust. Mine was a PP EB and it had a bouncy ride due to the PP suspension. Congrats!

ford needs to put the 3.5 V6 EB in the Stang instead of that lousy 2.3 BS engine. Tune it to 375 HP and i may be interested

The 3.5 turbo would be great but the 2.3 is hardly a lousy bs engine.
Congrats to the op though. Glad you're happy with your trade.

I think some people "settle" because their finances aren't in the right place to buy the more expensive GT. Finances improve, and suddenly they can afford the GT. There's multiple other reasons too. You can never truly know if you'll like a car on a simple test drive. You have to live with it for a while to know whether you like it or not.

It's kinda like couch shopping. That couch that was super comfortable in the store might be a pain in the ass (literally) after you spend a few days sitting on it.

And some people like throwing money away by buying new cars every year. More power to you if you can afford it.

Can I join?

Traded my V6 for a GT today. Honestly not the best financial decision........trading in that is. Although is so worth it. This 5.0 is incredible in every way.

If you can stump the extra $, its worth it. The V8 is intoxicating to drive.

Also wanting to chime in:

I traded my 16 V6 Guard that i had for about 7 months and 11k miles for a 16 base GT in Race Red with the white seats simply because i couldnt resist the eagerness to have the V8. The only reason I got a V6 initially was because it was my first car and my first time having a monthly bill on something larger than a credit card or utilities, once i got the hang of it I started to look around for a base gt with pp but felt the price around here wasnt justifiable and simply decided to go with a base gt, as I could live with everything in the V6 car except the engine itself. I dont regret my decision at all and now truly feel I have the car I set out to get that windy september morning. We learn with mistakes but I am very grateful that I had the oportunity to fix it!
