I want to buy a gt this fall when my ecoboost is taken over by the girlfriend this fall. So back and fourth between the gt and a f150(I miss that truck)

Ecoboosts are awesome cars, but now you're in the big leagues. :D

How much did they ding you to trade up? Would love to drop a 5.0 on my car and keep the rest the same so it would be a sleep but I think the motor alone is like $6k.

thxultra It'd be better you just upgrade to a bigger turbo if your thinking of that

I never understand the people that do this, why buy a new car and settle with it right off the bat? NEVER SETTLE ON A CAR or you will be stuck in this stupid situation because you'll never be happy. Both cars serve different purposes and appeal to different demographics.

Concern with that is all the 2.3's going Boom. Love my car and it is a blast but getting concerned about all the blown engines. I'm just running a tune and CAI now but heard people are blowing them stock...

Hum!

Hum! We all have seen this a lot since the new 2015 Mustangs first hit the Ford dealers, there has been a lot of post on Mustang 6G fourms on guys treading off the there EB Mustang off for a GT Mustang, I have been Curious on how many have actually traded off their EB Mustang for a GT..... John

Some true numbers would be kind of nice to see!

Ya seen a few of these but think each time they lost a considerable about of cash doing the swap. Sure this is common with these types of cars everyone wants the V8 after all. I kind of go back and forth about it. I don't think I would want to take the big hit though considering my car is never driven on a track and sits in traffic most of the time but still can't say I wouldn't be tempted with the right offer :)

I ALMOST traded my V6 for a EB... then realized I'm better off going GT and got a 2016 GT Premium with all the options that was to be the dealers show car for inside. I got it the Day it came off the truck and went through the dealer check. I asked them to leave on the seat plastic and stuff covering the chrome... It took me like 2 hours to get it all off at home in my garage and I didn't complain one bit lol.

Asonitez Dude, I wish I had the opportunity to peel off the plastic wrapping off my stang. That sounded fun for you! That would have been cool if you youtubed it!

The hit isn't as bad as I thought it would be...main reason is moving from a premium to base. That's the real sacrifice I'm making. Given the quality of the leather in my current EB, I won't miss it THAT much. I'll miss the rest of the interior, premium interior is much more attractive.

I left some of it in for almost a week. I got my stang just as it started getting cold and driving it in those Pirelli p zeros was gonna be dangerous. So the first night off I took off the plastic the styrofoam in the trunk and around the mats. The next day I washed, waxed and cleaned it top to bottom and applied leather conditioner.

It had a lot of dust and grime from the road but nothing bad. Since then I check the weather and if there's a chance it will rain it dosent come out.

Truth be told I'm a little afraid of the car. I got it out and put my foot in it and my butthole puckered when those tires let loose and I went faster than ever in my life.

I traded an 11 V6 for my GT. I really liked the 11 too.

Until I drove the GT.

Congrats!

when there isn't a $7ish thousand dollar gap to get a comparable GT (and another couple grand lost in trade), ill put my hard earned bread towards one
