I finally bought the carrier group with a 3.73 gearset and torsen diff. I'm planning to put it on my 15 Eco. If there's anyone here who's done the swap, could you give any pointers?

Won't work as well without swapping motor too
The same comment would have come out of my mouth when I was a teenager. Back then, if you didn't have a V8 you didn't have power. The V8s of those days often made less power than the modern 4turbo. Times have changed. I was a V8 fanboy for decades, but after having so many, I know how much power I can use and enjoy with the growing number of obstruction (other drivers) on the road these days. I'm perfectly happy with 400hp and 25mpg. If it was a strip car, I would certainly agree with you. Still, while your GT has the power to handle shorter gears, my little 4banger needs the tallest gears reasonable to get back that low end. :p
For $550 and my own labor, it's not a ridiculous upgrade.

did you buy the shim kit and the diff "rebuild' kit? This is not a trivial piece of work and shops charge handsomely for it for good reason.

Why would he need a diff rebuild kit ? It sounds like he got the whole pumpkin.

I was planning to go that route, but it was available as "the whole punkin" for basically the same price. As far as how I attach it and torque specs, that's where I'm currently clueless. I had my mechanic adjust the backlash on an Eaton posi I had late 90s in a Firebird and it made a world of difference. I hope I don't regret being lazy and using the factory assembly.

The factory assembly is perfectly fine (for some definition of Ford QA's "fine"). Definitely fix the glaring diff support problem with either the $50 bolt kit or my favorite the Whiteline bushing replacement kit.
