Hi all! Need help please!
I had the CJ Pony Parts lowering kit installed on my car last year. I am noticing some creaking noise coming from the back end while slowly driving over bumps, turning etc.. Any opinions on what may be causing this noise?

Thanks!

if it is rubber sounding, you may need to clock your bushings.

On acceleration I hear some type of rubber squeak or something for passenger rear and same type sound in front I think driver side. But only at low speeds. Once above 10-15mph plus exhaust I don't hear anything else. At low speeds and parking lot almost sounds like an old squeaky car. Im taking car to local ford Mustang shop near me to see if he can clock the bushings for me.. Unless anyone else in Bay area knows a good place that won't charge arm and leg. Car seems to handle pretty legit though. .I have steeda sport linear. And about two finger clearance all the way around. Curious if it. Will drop more after..

A friend recently had the same issue. He thought it had to do with the caster and camber plates. After looking around the disassembled front shocks, he figured out that the rubber part that sits at the bottom of the strut had fallen apart. It was allowing the spring to move around which caused an audible squeaking like an old car at slow speeds. The parts from Ford were fairly cheap to replace and that corrected the issue. YMMV.

Yep that was me, the lower rubber spring seat had tore and the upper spring seat had cracked on the center plastic part. 20 bucks in parts from local dealer and squeak is gone.

So I am going to install the other two and make sure I have right ones in correct location this weekend..now I've noticed I have some noise coming from driver front at low mph. I put my hand back behind wheel and it almost feels like the tire is touching the new koni strut slightly. How can that happen? Is there a way to fix?

Ok so now I am confused.. are you all talking about the rear area? Or the front? Others have posted in my thread and I am thinking its about the front.
I am having a creaking noise when driving slow.. over bumps, dips. Pulling in to a parking lot. I called CJ Pony parts and he has no clue.

Any suggestions on my issue?

Thanks!

@Mustanggirlie, check post #9. If the noise is coming from the front then thats probably your issue. YMMV.

5mm spacer fixed my front end noise. Tire was touching koni strut.
