Hello,

Recently i've noticed my car pulling whenever I press on the brake, and in addition to this, my steering feels loose and funny. To my knowledge my car did not used to drive like this, unless I am just a hypochondriac but I could have sworn it did not pull as much as it does now. The steering just does not feel as firm anymore and it just feels like the car is going in all sorts of directions whenever I drive. I hit a divet in the road and it turned my steering wheel so hard that my car literally went sideways, which never used to be that bad? Any ideas what this is? I'm taking it in to a mechanic to look at this friday.

I have a 2015 Mustang GT. Not sure if this is is a simple problem such as a new alignment or something else internally is damaged in the suspension.

Have the shop check all (4) wheel hub bearings… common failure points and if any wheel hub is bad, the car will track strange, pull and may exhibit other symptoms such as NVH when going into a turn/curve or while driving straight line.

Also have them check:
Tire wear - severe or abnormal wear of the tread will cause all sorts of steering issues.

Alignment - if alignment is out, the car will pull in either direction or tramlining may become very extreme.

Aside from the above, a failing steering rack or the intermediate steering column could cause steering issues.

Not sure about the steering problem but you could have a sticking caliper causing the pull when you apply the brakes.

If its a suspension or tire issue find a flat section of road and briefly let go of the wheel to see if the car tracks without braking.
I hope you find the problem and it’s nothing major.

I would definitely check all the wheel hubs and do an inspection of all of the major suspension links. With a 2015 its very likely you have a hub or two that are gone bad, and you could also have things like torn rubber bushings. My 2016 gets a lot of hard use, but I've gone through 4 rear hub bearings and I've torn major rubber bushings. I've also had other suspension links develop play.

When bearings go out the steering can get loose and handling quite unpredictable. Sometimes they'll make 'tinking' or griding noises when they're going out, but not always.
