Suspension help!

So I just pulled the trigger and my new wheels and tires have been ordered! It was literally a last minute curveball as I was about to purchase the Velgen VF5 Gold, but in the end my heart went back to my original favorites...the Project 6GR Tens in Satin Bronze! They are on backorder until next month so I have some time to get my suspension ordered and ready. My setup will be this...

20x10s; 285/35/20 +35mm.
20 x 11s; 315/35/20 +50 mm.

Wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4s. Shouldn't need spacers hopefully.

My question is this...I am trying to decide whether or not to get the FRPP Track kit or go with just some springs and shocks for now and then add more parts down the road. I have been looking at the Steeda Pro Active Shocks, paired with the progressive springs dropping the car around 1.5" but, I don't know if that's going to be to much of a drop for my setup. I know the FRPP kit is about 1" all around.

The FRPP kit would give me almost everything I need but on the other hand, I am ok with shocks and springs for the aesthetic appearance and lowered look for now. I do plan to take her to the track in the future but for its just a spirited driven car.

Pro active ahocks are targetted for consumers interested in comfort.

1.5” drop is for for nobody except car show stance people. You give up all the working travel range the suspension needs to do it’s job. I subscribe to the theory that 3/4” is about the limit for drop if you want the suspension to work and absorb bumps.

Sooo +1 for the FRPP kit I guess.

The FRPP track kit is fine, but I would defer to steeda as they actually track test their products. Call them and tell what you want out of the car and they will tell you what you need.

Then decide.

I am partial to Steeda but you could also call BMR and ask them the same question

I’ve been very pleased with the Goodyear SC3’s in a couple thousand highway/city miles and 2 track weekends. They’re a great tire you should consider for sure.

Go with the ford track kit. I put it on my car and have zero regrets. I was on the fence like you but the ford shocks are real monotubes and I think the steeda stuff is actually rebranded and re-valved koni. I could be wrong.

I was concerned that it would be too harsh. Been there and done that. I was amazed when It rode just as smooth as stock on the street. It's stiffer, but bounces less and is never just harsh. I think the springs are progressive. Also. Its not too low. I can go over speed bumps slowly with no problem. Sure you may scrape on some things from time to time but in and out of normal driveways and bumps is no issue.

Do it, you wont regret it. I'm also on 285/35R19 PS4S all around for what its worth.
